How to confirm that a power adapter product has genuine CCC certification?
Publish: 2026-06-05 12:06:37 View: 41During the procurement of power adapters and chargers, CCC certification is an important basis for measuring product safety and compliance. However, there are products on the market that misuse or forge CCC certificates. This article provides a practical verification method to help B-end procurement personnel and corporate engineers quickly identify genuine and fake CCC certified power adapters.
1. Why verify the authenticity of CCC certification?
CCC certification (China Compulsory Certification) is a basic requirement for the legal sale of power adapters in the domestic market. Products that have not passed CCC certification or misuse the certification have serious safety hazards: non-flame-retardant enclosures, inferior internal components, lack of overload/short-circuit protection, which can easily cause fires or electric shock accidents. At the same time, using fake CCC power adapters with complete machines for sale may lead to reports, removal from e-commerce platforms, and even face a fine of between RMB 50,000 and 200,000.
2. Three-step verification method: quickly confirm the authenticity of CCC certification
Step 1: Check product identification and packaging
CCC mark: Genuine products should have a clear CCC mark on the body or packaging (usually molded or laser engraved, not easy to peel off).
Complete nameplate information: Contains manufacturer name, product model, input/output voltage and current, etc. Products lacking this information are extremely high risk.
Beware of "export to domestic sales" talk: Products sold in the domestic market must pass CCC certification; there is no such thing as "export products do not need CCC".

Step 2: Query certificate on official platform (most authoritative)
Visit the National Certification and Accreditation Information Public Service Platform: https://cx.cnca.cn/CertECloud/result/skipResultList, enter the certificate number (16 digits) or manufacturer name/product model in the "Compulsory Product Certification" column to search.
Check certificate status: Must show "Valid". If it shows "Suspended", "Revoked", or "Cancelled", the certificate is invalid.
Check information consistency: The manufacturer name, product model, and specifications on the certificate must be completely consistent with the physical nameplate.
Confirm coverage: Some manufacturers only certify certain models but fraudulently use the certificate on other models. Make sure the specific model you are purchasing is within the certificate's scope.

Step 3: Request the certification test report from the manufacturer
For domestic CCC certification test reports, they are provided free of charge when applying for certification (unlike Japan's PSE certification, which requires an additional fee for the test report, otherwise only the certificate file is provided). Therefore, genuine CCC certifications come with corresponding test reports:
First, confirm that the test report corresponds to the certificate, that the number is the same, and that the manufacturer information matches the certificate and the product.
Confirm that the product picture in the report matches the actual product.
Confirm that the component list in the test report matches the actual product.
If any of the above information is inconsistent, there is a risk of a fake certificate.
3. Characteristics of common fake CCC power adapters
No CCC mark on nameplate or the mark is blurry and easily scratched off.
No full manufacturer name.
Excuses such as "export product" or "foreign trade surplus" to avoid CCC.
Price significantly lower than reasonable market levels (e.g., 12V2A adapter unit price below RMB 7.3).
Rough enclosure material, non-flame-retardant (enclosure burns easily and emits a lot of black smoke).
4. Procurement suggestion: choose a source factory to reduce risk
Purchasing from a power adapter source factory with CCC certification, ISO9001 system, and its own production base can greatly reduce the risk of encountering fake CCC products. Take Shenzhen Keyulong Technology Co., Ltd. as an example:
Established in 2011, Shenzhen + Huizhou 8,000㎡ own factory, annual output 10 million units.
All domestic adapters have passed CCC certification, certificate numbers are verifiable.
Products also hold CE, UL, FCC, PSE, KC, UKCA and 100+ other international certifications.
Implement 8 full inspection processes, finished product pass rate 99.95%, flame retardant grade UL94 V-0.
Support OEM/ODM customization, 1 working day response, 15-20 days delivery.
When purchasing, you can request the supplier to provide scanned copies of the CCC certificate for the corresponding model and verify it on the official platform. Reputable manufacturers are willing to cooperate with factory audits and certificate verification.
5. Summary
The core methods to confirm the authenticity of a power adapter's CCC certification are: check the identification (logo and nameplate), check the platform (cx.cnca.cn to verify the certificate), and request the test report (compare with the physical product). Reject products with unknown origins, abnormal prices, or incomplete identification. Choose a reliable source factory to ensure the safety and compliance of power adapters from the source.
