What is PSR (Primary Side Regulation)?
Primary Side Regulation (PSR) omits the optocoupler and TL431, sampling the output voltage via an auxiliary winding to achieve constant voltage and constant current control. Compared to the secondary side regulation (SSR) scheme, it offers simpler circuitry (about 15% fewer components), extremely low standby power consumption (≤0.1W), lower cost, and higher reliability.
